About Us

Hi! We’re Steve and Kate Joerger. We are your typical mid-life couple that got tired of the hubbub of everyday life in our traditional roles. Join us as we transition from 3000+ square feet in suburban Atlanta and navigate to full-time life on the road in a 300 square foot box.
About the Joergers (in Kate’s words):
Steve and I met in 2011 through a photography meet up group in the Atlanta area. You can see more about our early relationship on the Start Here page.
We have a lot in common: interests in space, travel (and space travel??), photography, dogs, cooking, hiking, and reading. We are each other’s best friend. So super corny, but it’s true. There is no one each of us would rather be around. I’ve heard this fact will prove useful as we are crammed into a smaller space.
We also have some differences. Steve is an amateur radio operator and generally likes the puzzles of figuring out technical things. I have taught myself to crochet and knit over the past few years and enjoy making small things for others. We both are interested in food – I mean, come on, Who isn’t!?!?!? – but our ideas of cooking are much different.
We invite you to join our travels and watch us navigate through the intricacies of planning out and living a life on the road!
Our Initial Full Time RV Rig

Our initial full time RV setup consists of a diesel powered 2020 Ford F-350 dually which tows our 2018 Grand Design Reflection 337RLS fifth wheel. We’ve done a few upgrades to both the truck and RV to make them more usable for our needs and safer on the road.
The Furry Companions

We share our travels with three furry companions – Tucker, Coco, and Millie. Tucker and Millie were adopted in 2014 and Coco was adopted in 2019. From the day we brought Millie home, she and Tucker have been inseparable. So much so that people ask us a lot if they are siblings (Nope!). Coco was a great addition to the pack, being both dominant enough to play with Tucker and submissive enough to not get in his way.
