Ben & Jerry's Factory Tour: Vermont Must-Do
In addition to visiting Montpelier, the other “must do” item on my to-do list for Vermont was to visit the Ben & Jerry’s factory and take the factory tour . We made an afternoon out of this adventure!
Upon arrival to the B&J factory, we explored the grounds, seeing the quirky “Flavor Graveyard ” which highlights unpopular and abandoned flavor ideas. During the tour, we got to see the production floor during its changeover between flavors (the workers were busy pressure cleaning the equipment) and learn how they develop flavor ideas. We also got to try some of a new flavor they are testing… “Broccoli Cheddar Chunk”. It is now Steve’s favorite ice cream!
After the tour, we both enjoyed a small ice cream treat. B&J came out with a flavor earlier this year that I tried - Honey Graham Latte . It has flavors of coffee, milk, sugar, honey, and graham cracker dust in it. It was very good, but very sweet!
Ben & Jerry’s ice cream reminds me so much of some wonderful memories with my mom, and I was super thankful to have been able to make the trip here!
