One of the bounciest travel days in a while
Our last travel day was one of the bounciest we have had in a while. Because our kitchen is in the back, we usually see aftermath of a lively travel day most clearly evident here. But, even though the silverware was all over the place, the scissors were on the floor under all the drawers, one of my Ove Gloves bounced off a hook, and the contents of the fridge moved enough to upend a tension rod, we did not have anything in the fridge spill or break. So we’ll call this a win!
We’ve seen some crazy stories from people with their fridge and/or pantry in the back. Fridge contents escaping, broken pickle jars, broken door bins, even broken shelves! Eventually you learn how to pack and tighten down everything so you don’t regularly have travel days that you spend hours cleaning up after. We’ve actually been very fortunate to not have ANY of those days in the almost 3 years in our rear kitchen Solitude. The worst we’ve had requires us to remove the bottom drawer and pick up a bunch of silverware and utensils!
