Little did we know back when we started this life July 1, 2022 how much we would enjoy it. In three years, we’ve visited 20 states (in our RV) and have thousands of amazing memories.

We visited the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona and it was truly awe-inspiring. Perched between the red rock formations, this architectural marvel was completed in 1956, a vision brought to life local rancher and sculptor Marguerite Brunswig Staude.

Old Town Cottonwood’s walkable Main Street, lined with distinctive shops and wine tasing rooms, makes for a perfect day of leisurely shopping.

Continuing the story of the Sinagua people in the Verde Valley, we visited Montezuma Castle National Monument . This place is incredible. Montezuma Castle is not a castle at all. It’s a five-story, 20-room cliff dwelling built into a limestone cliff 800 years ago. It looks like something out of a fantasy novel, but it was once home to real families who farmed, hunted, and lived in harmony with the land.

We visited one of the lesser known parks while we were in Sedona - Tuzigoot National Monument . Wow- what a window into the past! This site preserves a 110-room pueblo built by the Sinagua people , who lived here between 1000 and 1400 AD.

Did you know Sedona is home to the only McDonald’s in the world with teal arches instead of the classic golden ones? We saw it for ourselves—and yep, it’s just as quirky and cool as it sounds!

Our next stop - Sedona, AZ !

We spent our first afternoon in the area wandering around Sedona’s quirky little shops. Between the red rock views, local shops, handmade items, and the public street art, it felt like every corner had something for everyone.

On the road again! 🎶🎵 After an amazing couple of weeks in Tucson, we are on the road north.

Have you ever seen the Thunderbirds fly? They are amazing! We didn’t realize the Thunder & Lightning over Arizona air show was happening during our time in Tucson, so that was a really near surprise! At one point, the Thunderbirds went right over our RV - it was so awesome (and very loud!). These pilots put on a great show!
